Highway 89 near Alpine was temporarily closed when a storm in the area brought down a rock-and-mud slide across the road. The incident was first reported at 7:30 at mile 123 east of the Alpine intersection. Highway crews were able to clear and reopen it again by 11:30 pm. No one was hurt by the slide.
