In celebration of Smokey Bear’s 80th anniversary, the Pinedale and Big Piney ranger districts of Bridger-Teton National Forest are holding a holiday coloring contest for all ages. The contest offers participants a fun way to engage with Smokey Bear’s message of wildfire prevention and community involvement.
Coloring sheets are available online and at the Pinedale and Big Piney District offices. Completed sheets can be submitted by emailing a photo to nan.stinson@usda.gov or texting it to 307-231-4322. Participants may also drop off their completed sheets at the Pinedale Forest Service office located at 29 E. Fremont Lake Road or the Big Piney office at 10418 S. U.S. Hwy 189.
Everyone who enters will receive a Smokey Bear ribbon, while supplies last. Additionally, Smokey Bear-themed prizes will be awarded to winners in three age categories: 0-5 years, 6-10 years, and 10+ years. To ensure contact, participants are asked to include their name and a phone number on the back of the coloring sheet. Winners will be notified by phone on Friday, December 20, 2024.
