Smoking may be hazardous to your business. The Dubois Fire Department responded to a report of a Structure fire on Ramshorn Street downtown Monday. First responders found smoke coming from the rear of the building where a fire had started outside the building against the rear wall. The fire then spread into the wall of the building itself. Fire Crews used attack lines and opened up the wall to extinguish the fire, Crews also made entry into the building to check for fire extension, but found no fire had extended into the interior of the building. Investigators determined it was discarded smoking materiel that had been placed in a bucket, used for Cigarette butts was the cause of the fire.
