Patrons Are Not Considered at Risk
Snake River Brewing Co. announces that, in light of the ongoing public health crisis, they will be closing their restaurant and brewpub temporarily. Two team members have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus while many have tested negative. Teton County Health Department was immediately contacted about next steps and while their review of social distancing, cleaning, and other policies did not suggest a closure, Snake River Brewing has made the difficult decision to suspend operations now to prevent a more serious problem moving forward.
The restaurant will be deep cleaned and thoroughly sanitized once again during the closure. The brewery itself will continue producing packaged beer for the brewery’s distributor partners and for sale in the Jackson community and surrounding areas.
“The health and safety of our staff and guests is of paramount importance and if further steps seem appropriate to our team or are recommended by Teton County Health, we will continue to take those steps as swiftly as possible”, said owner Ted Staryk. He continued, “…we are very grateful for the guidance from Town and County officials with respect to social-distancing recommendations and the increased urgency for everyone to wear masks, and we’re hoping that community adherence to these suggestions will make it easier for everyone in the community to stay safe and healthy.”
Teton County Health Department has contacted all close contacts related to the two positive cases. It has been deemed through contact tracing that Snake River Brewing Co. patrons were not considered at risk due to the preventive measures contained in current health orders.
