Snow Coming

A strong cold front to bring some snow and colder temperatures
for Saturday and Saturday night has prompted a special weather statement from the National Weather
Service Office in Riverton.
Snow and a gusty north to northwest wind, along with falling temperatures is forecast to arrive in western Wyoming on Saturday. Snowfall is likely in most locations with 1 to 4 inches in Yellowstone National Park and higher amounts near the East Entrance.
The Tetons and Gros Ventre mountains should see 3 to 5 inches. The Jackson Valley may only see a dusting to around 1 inch of snow.
Travel may be hazardous over the mountains passes due to snow and wind. Travelers, hunters, and others with
outdoor activities will need to prepare for winter weather. Stay tuned for updated statements on this storm.
