The Snow King Resort Master Plan is under scrutiny again. The first of three special Town of Jackson Council meetings takes place tonight at 920 West Broadway in the Bridger Ballroom of the Lodge at Jackson Hole. The meeting is to focus on Snow King Restort’s Master Plan Amendments. At that time, Council will take public comment and give presentations to begin the formal public hearing process for the Amendment to the Snow King Master Plan. Changes include shrinking the proposed east and west boundary expansion, proposing a Mountain Sports Training Complex including an indoor climbing gym, updating employee housing requirements, reducing proposed zip lines, and supporting a second sheet of ice to be added by the town to the base area. The proposed Town of Jackson Resort District master plan amendment and the associated Forest Service proposals have now been subject to nearly four years of public review, commentary, and multiple rounds of substantial changes. Tonight’s meeting begins at 5:30 pm.
