Snow King Mountain Resort’s new Sunnyside lift is now open daily until 3:00pm. The lift is on the south side of the summit of Snow King Mountain, and there is also a Magic Carpet lift for beginners there.
The resort encourages its patrons to hop on the Snow King Gondola and explore a whole new side of Snow King Mountain. Up until now, in-bounds terrain at Snow King was strictly on the north-facing slopes of the mountain that face toward the town of Jackson and the Teton Range.
The new boundary expansion provides a lift-accessed ski area on the “backside,” with a bowl and runs for a wider range of skiers. Beginners who use the magic carpet can choose to either ride down the gondola from there, or if they are comfortable, ski the new Way Home which is an easy way down the mountain from the summit.
