Snow King Mountain Resort will kick off scenic rides Saturday on the new Snow King Gondola with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:00 am followed by the free scenic rides.
There will be live local music and free beverages for the first hundred passengers. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the panorama house where guests can warm up and enjoy the view.
Construction of the new Snow King gondola was part of a $20-million investment into Snow King Mountain this past summer to enhance Wyoming’s oldest ski area.
In addition to the Gondola, Snow King Mountain installed a fixed grip triple chairlift on the backside of the mountain which opens up approximately eighty acres of new lift access terrain.
The gondola will not be open for skiing and snowboarding until snow conditions permit, but the scenic rides will be available daily from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
