Snow King’s Tarzan Swing to Open at Treeptop Adventure

July 13, 2018 by Jackson Hole Radio

Ever dreamed of “swinging through the trees with the greatest of ease?”
Snow King Mountain Resort is thrilled to be opening their latest feature, the Tarzan Swing, on the Treetop Adventure today.
“Bringing this challenging and entertaining highlight to the Treetop Adventure is something we have been planning for a while,” says Snow King General Manager Ryan Stanley. “Snow King is immensely proud of our Treetop Adventures course, which provides various levels of intensity and challenges for people of all abilities to get out of their comfort zone and realize how much they can achieve.”
Visitors to the intermediate “red course” on the Treetop Adventure will climb a twenty-five-foot pole on a vertical climbing wall, ascend to a platform, grasp the Tarzan rope, and finally leap off the platform toward a cargo net over twenty-five feet away.
Bring a friend along as the Tarzan Swing features two parallel swings allowing you to enjoy this “leap of faith” with a friend, co-worker or family member. All participants are connected to safety cables at all times; however, that jump is still a solid mental challenge.
“Jumping off the first time was slightly terrifying, but once I was in the air, it was a thrilling and unique experience,” says Treetop Adventure Guide Eleanor Harvey. “Our guests and locals will love this new feature and the excitement it brings to the ropes course.”
“We have been working on ways to build this swing since day one,” says Treetop Adventure Operations Manager Christian Santelices. “Locating this swing in an empty section of the park was key in preserving trees while bringing this feature to Treetop thrill seekers. Our Tarzan Swing is the only one of its kind in the region and our guides so far are loving this new feature.”
Treetop Adventure’s Tarzan Swing opens to the public on Friday, July 13th.
