Opening the roads in Yellowstone National Park after the winter season is continuing on schedule, despite the abundance of snow that fell on the region this year. The road through Haydon Valley from Canyon to Fishing Bridge was the most recent to close to over-snow travel over the weekend with the remainder of the roads to see the seasonal closure on Friday. The Bear Den Gift Shop, the Geyser Grill, and the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center will close Friday as well.Yellowstone’s roads will reopen to wheeled vehicles beginning April 19th, starting with the roads from the West Entrance and from Mammoth Hot Springs into Old faithful and to Canyon Village. Further openings are set to take place in May, including the South Entrance Road on May 10th.
