Winter weather is coming and with it, hazardous driving conditions are expected in Yellowstone National Park.
Travelers can expect temporary road closures and driving delays and should stay up to date about road information and weather over the next several days.
Snowfall could occur anywhere in the park, but heavy snow is most likely to happen on the high mountain passes.
The following park roads will close on Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m.:
Tower Junction to Canyon Junction over Dunraven Pass
And West Thumb to Old Faithful over Craig Pass. Old Faithful itself will remain open.
Visitors should plan for alternate routes in case additional park roads close temporarily due to expected winter weather.
Drive slowly and with caution!
Yellowstone is working with Montana and Wyoming to keep continued access to the communities of Cooke City/Silver Gate, Montana.
