It is with regret that Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) reports a snowboarder was fatally injured at the ski area earlier today.
At approximately 3:24 pm JHMR ski patrol received a call reporting an accident on Moran Run. A female was found on Moran, about one hundred yards below Togwotee Pass traverse on the north side of the trail in a treed area. Second to the reporting party Jackson Hole Ski Patrol arrived on the scene and performed life support efforts. The victim was transported to the St. John’s Clinic in Teton Village at approximately 3:45 pm and was pronounced dead at 3:56 pm.
“The staff at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort join me in expressing our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the victim,” commented Jerry Blann, President of JHMR.
