Snowfall in the northwestern corner of Wyoming has been steady, but the accumulation is still below average. According to the National Resource Conservation Center, the snowfall in the Snake River Basin is currently 88% of normal, 91% of normal in the Yellowstone Basin, 74% in the Wind River Basin, and 85% in the Upper Green River Basin. At the same time, the water content of the snow is closer to normal with the snow-water content in the Snake River Basin computed at 101% of average, 104% of average in the Yellowstone Basin, 101% of average in the Wind River Basin and 99% of average in the Upper Green River Basin. Typically, some of the areas’s snowiest weeks are still ahead in February and March.
