The Jackson Hole High School Speech and Debate Team continued its regular season accomplishments with a second place finish at the Green River Invitational, held at Green River High School, December 7th and 8th, with thirteen schools in attendance. The Jackson team, under the coaching of Londe and Peggy Gagnon, advanced thirteen students to semi and final rounds and earned an overall 49 points for the team sweepstakes. Riverton took home first in 3A with Star Valley taking third. Freshman William Aepli placed first in novice Congressional Debate for the third tournament in a row. Aepli went on to take first in novice Lincoln Douglas Debate, going undefeated through 7 rounds of competition. Junior Maleah Tuttle had a first place finish in varsity Lincoln Douglas Debate. The team next travels to Thermopolis Friday and Saturday.
