Tomorrow is November 15th, the date each year that the speed limit on Wyoming Highway 22 is reduced from 55 to 45 miles per hour. Lt. Matt Brackin of the Wyoming Highway Patrol says the speed change is made in the interest of safety along that stretch of road.
At the same time, Lt. Brackin reminds drivers that conditions on top of the pass can be dramatically different from the valley floor, and so speeds need to be adjusted accordingly.
Lt. Brackin urges motorists to take road conditions into consideration for their speed, and allow plenty of space behind the vehicle in front of you.
