Today begins Spring Clean-up week in Jackson Hole, by declaration of the Teton County Commissioners. During last year’s yard waste event, approximately 164,000 pounds of yard waste were captured from the waste stream and composted locally. The success of this annual event is due to the combined efforts of a number of local organizations. The filled compostable bags can be picked up from curbside in town Monday, May 13thif placed at the curb by 8:00 am, or may be taken to the Teton County Trash Transfer Station. The recycling center will offer half-price recycling of electronic waste during Clean-up Week. The annual clean-up day involving volunteers tidying up parks and roadsides around the community is Saturday, May 11thstarting from the site of the Eco-fair at Snow King ball park at 9:00 am, or remotely from Hoback Market or the Wilson Community Center at the same time.
