Jackson Police officers and Teton County Sheriff’s Deputies have taken into custody a 40-year-old suspect in connection with an apparent stabbing incident just before midnight last night. A 52-year-old man (whose identity has not been released) was rushed to St. John’s Medical Center and then transferred to Eastern Idaho Medical Center for his injury. There is no immediate word on his condition. Officers had evacuated the Town Creek Apartment complex near downtown Jackson and waited out an unidentified man who remained in his apartment unit until after 1:00 pm today. During the standoff, police cordoned off the area of the apartment complex. Town officials say residents who were traumatized by the incident are encouraged to call the Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center’s 24-hour crisis line.
