START Bus Announces Fourth of July Commuter Schedule Changes in Jackson

Greater Teton Regional Transportation Task Force

The Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit (START) Bus system in Jackson, Wyoming, has released adjusted commuter schedules for the Fourth of July holiday to accommodate travelers in Teton Valley and Star Valley. These changes, effective on July 4th, ensure residents and visitors can plan their travel accordingly during the busy holiday weekend.

Teton Valley Schedule

  • Morning Service: The 5:40 a.m. departure from Driggs Community Center will not operate. Regular departures at 6:25 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. will run as scheduled. 
  • Evening Service: Departures from Snow King Center at 4:05 p.m. and 5:05 p.m. will operate as planned, but the 6:05 p.m. departure will be canceled.

Star Valley Schedule

  • Morning Service: The 5:30 a.m. departure from Etna will not run. Scheduled departures at 6:25 a.m. and 6:50 a.m. will proceed as normal. 
  • Evening Service: Departures from Snow King Center at 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. will operate, but the 5:30 p.m. departure will not.

START Bus encourages commuters to check the full summer schedule on their website at jacksonwy.gov/404/Maps-Schedules for additional details. To stay updated, riders can sign up for text alerts by scanning the QR code on the START Bus website or texting the bus stop number to +1-307-249-4117 to check real-time bus arrivals. For further assistance, contact START Bus at 307-733-4521.The agency also promotes year-round sustainable travel options, such as riding the bus, walking, biking, or using rideshare programs, to reduce traffic congestion in the Jackson area. Plan ahead to ensure smooth travel this Independence Day.
