START bus to serve South Park

December 2, 2022 by Jackson Hole Radio

The START Bus is announcing new stops for their winter on-demand transit services.

There is now an added stop at Albertson’s on the East Jackson route for the START bus’s Micro-transit-on-demand program. East Jackson will now have access to grocery shopping and neighborhoods south of town will be included in the public transportation system.

And for those of you who have been waiting for a route that goes south of Jackson, your time has finally come. A new pilot program will serve Melody Ranch, Rafter J, and South Park.

Trips to and from Albertsons from the existing East Jackson zone will be available every day during the service hours of 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Service hours for the East Jackson START On-Demand service zone will continue to be 6:00 AM – 12:00 midnight during Winter and Summer seasons, with Spring and Fall Season hours staying at 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM.

As for the new route to South Park, Melody, and Rafter J, service will be available every day from 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM and connects these neighborhoods to the START bus stop at Smith’s.

From there, riders can board Town or Teton Village buses. For maps of the new stops and routes, check the Town of Jackson website.
