START Bus has launched a new mobile app that allows riders to pay for bus passes with their smartphone. The app, called STARTpay, is available for either iOS and Android operating systems and riders to purchase fares via their mobile phone, without the need to pay cash when getting on the bus or purchasing tickets in advance. This includes passes to/from Teton Village, Teton Valley, and Star Valley. Users can select a single trip or a monthly pass and pay with a credit card. The STARTPay app currently accepts American Express, Diners Club, JCB, MasterCard and VISA credit and debit cards. It does not currently accept Apple or Google pay. To access this new payment app, users should visit the app store on any smart phone and search for “START Pay.” Once the app is downloaded users can fill out the appropriate information when prompted and begin to select and download START bus passes of their choice.
