The START bus board is proposing new bus fares and has published their revised rate schedule. Under the new plan, commuter rates would go from $42 for a ten-ride ticket to $55 and a monthly pass would increase from $105 to $150. A season pass, meanwhile would go to $450 or $405 with an employer discount. A commuter pass for the year would be $800 with a 10% discount through employers. For those riding to Teton Village, a single day ride would increase from $3.00 to $4.50 and a ten-ride pass would become $30. A monthly pass would increase to $100 during the winter season and season passes would be available for $200 rather than the current $125 and the 10% employer discount would again be made available. A public hearing on the proposed new rate schedule is slated for January 9th in the town hall.
