The Wyoming Business Council Board of Directors will hold a webinar meeting at 9 a.m. on Aug. 31 to discuss the state’s broadband plan, a Challenge Loan project and several contracts.

During its spring session, the Wyoming Legislature charged the Business Council, the state’s economic development agency, with developing a plan to improve access to high-speed broadband statewide. A draft of that plan is under consideration and can be viewed at wyomingbusiness.org/broadband. The Business Council board will consider a $134,793 bridge loan in participation with Pinnacle Bank in Torrington to Magos Well Service, an oil and gas service startup company in Pine Bluffs.
Also under review is a new contract with a Taiwan trade representative. Other agenda items include a report from the personnel, budget and audit standing committee and consideration of the adoption of the Uniform Rules on Access to Public Records.
The Business Council board will still hold its regular quarterly meeting Sept. 6 in Cody.
