In response to the growing need for new volunteer firefighters, Sublette County Unified Fire has announced it is currently seeking applications from interested people who want to serve their community, help their neighbors, and become a volunteer firefighter. Firefighters are there to protect lives and property by responding to house fires, car accidents, wildland fires, technical rescues, hazardous materials incidents, and numerous other types of emergencies. Sublette County Fire Chief Shad Cooper points out that there is a place in the fire department for every person who wants to get involved. Regardless of age, physical ability, or available time, anyone interested in joining should contact Cooper at the fire department.
