The official announcement is yet to come, However, a spokesperson for the discount chain says Target will have the official grand opening of the new Target store – and Jackson’s first-ever – on April 3rd. At approximately 70,000 square feet, the store will also be the first small-format store in the state of Wyoming.
Nationwide, Target is focused on opening small-format stores in urban areas, dense suburban neighborhoods and near college campuses – places where a traditional-sized Target store may not fit – to serve new guests with a curated assortment of products tailored to match the needs and preferences of the community.
Spokesperson Caroline Robinson stated, “As we get closer to opening the store, we’ll have more specific details to share – including how the shopping experience will be tailored to serve local guests.” The new store will be located in the former K-Mart building which has been undergoing significant renovation over the past year.
