The publication Wednesday of the Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for the Grand Targhee Resort in the Federal Register initiated a 30-day formal scoping period on the resort’s master plan. Information identified during the scoping period will be used to develop an environmental document that will analyze and disclose different alternatives for the proposal. The agency is seeking public input to ensure all aspects of the proposal are thoroughly analyzed. The public scoping process is intended identify potential environmental impacts of the project and define the range of alternatives that should be considered in the Environmental Impact Statement. An open house has been scheduled for the public to review the proposed action and resources that have been made available for the Grand Targhee Resort Master Development Plan Project EIS. The open house will be held virtually Tuesday at 6:00 pm.
