The Teton County Search and Rescue team had a call-out Monday evening to assist a young man who’d crashed on his mountain bike on the Fuzzy Bunny trail on Teton Pass. With the man having a suspected serious spinal injury, an ambulance was driven up the Old Pass Road to near the accident site. Rescue team members then carried the patient on a backboard to the ambulance which transported him to St. John’s Medical Center. Rescue team leaders point out that as more of the area’s trails begin to melt out and become ridable, necessary precautions, and appropriate gear should be factored into any trip.
