The Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation Department has removed the temporary dog park at the Teton County Fairgrounds. The last day for public access to the dog park was Thursday, April 25. This closure coincides with the ending of the annual winter wildlife closures in Teton County, which conclude each year on May 1.

The public is reminded to respect the wildlife closures until they are officially lifted. Information on the specific areas affected by these closures is available on the Teton Conservation District website. Additionally, the Town of Jackson enforces strict animal care and control regulations, requiring pets to be under leash or verbal control at all times. Dogs are prohibited from Town Parks and must be leashed on pathways.

For further inquiries or concerns regarding the dog park closure or other related matters, residents are encouraged to contact Parks Superintendent Andy Erskine via email at [email protected].
