Maintenance Work Scheduled September 3-13, 2025, with Traffic Delays Expected
Teton County Road and Levee will conduct chip and fog sealing operations on two key roads starting September 3, 2025. Chip sealing on the entire length of Buffalo Valley Road runs from September 3 to 5, followed by fog sealing September 9 to 11. For Spring Gulch Road, chip sealing on segments from Jackson Land and Cattle to Cattleman’s Bridge occurs September 6 and 8, with fog sealing September 12 and 13. These treatments apply a protective layer of asphalt and aggregate to extend road life and improve safety, addressing wear from heavy use and weather in Teton County. For similar infrastructure updates, see the Wilson pathway closures.
Traffic Impact and Safety
Flaggers and a pilot car will direct traffic through work zones, with delays up to 20 minutes anticipated. Operations run 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, avoiding peak hours where possible. Schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change. Motorists should plan alternate routes, like using Highway 22 or 89, and drive cautiously. This maintenance supports Teton County’s road network, crucial for tourism and daily travel, aligning with efforts like WYDOT’s Snake River Bridge project.
