The 2018 Community Health Needs Assessment prioritized immunizations for 65+ as a top health issue for Teton County.
To make receiving your flu shot as easy as possible, the Teton County Health Department will be hosting an Adult 65+ Focused Flu Clinic at the Senior Center on Wednesday, November 7th, 2018 from 11am-1pm. High dose flu shots will be available for individuals who are 65 years old and over, while the quadrivalent flu shot (which provides protection against four strains of the influenza virus) will be available for individuals who are under 65 years of age or individuals who choose not to receive the high dose flu shot. The Teton County Health Department can bill Medicare and other insurances for the cost of either type of flu shot. Please bring your Medicare card, insurance card, and/or your supplemental insurance card with you to ensure accurate billing occurs.
Pneumonia vaccines will also be available at the Flu Clinic at the Senior Center. Please check with your primary care provider to see which pneumonia vaccine you may be due to receive. Please also bring your vaccine record and your insurance information with you if you wish to receive a pneumonia vaccine (Medicare will cover both pneumonia vaccines). We look forward to seeing everyone at the Flu Clinic at the Senior Center.
