Teton County’s mask mandate expired in December and reported new cases of COVID-19 have dropped off. However, considering the county is still in the red or high-risk category, Rachael Wheeler of the Teton County Health Department says the county has recommended people continue to wear face masks.
Specifically, the recommendation reads that persons within Teton County, Wyoming should wear face coverings in public places if they have not been fully vaccinated, when in crowded outdoor settings or engaged in activities that place them in close proximity with other participants, if the person is immunocompromised in some way, or where it is required by the government – such as on public transportation or in the airport terminal.
It is also recommended that even if you are fully vaccinated, wear a mask to maximize protection and prevent the possible spread of COVID-19 to others during times of high or substantial transmission.
