With races set to thin the herd for November’s general election, candidates will learn their fate shortly after the polls close at 7pm Tuesday night.
On the slate for Jackson Town Council, two incumbents and five hopefuls are on the ballot for two seats.
Devon Viehman, Arne Jorgensen, Elliott R. Alston, Joel Smith, Jonathan Schechter, David Scheurn, and Katherine “Kat” Rueckert are each hoping that their vote totals will be among the top four and on the November ballot.
In the partisan primary race for three seats on the Teton County Board of Commissioners, Peter Long, Alex Muromcew, Tom Segerstrom and Kasey Mateosky are the Republican candidates. Incumbent commissioners Luther Probst and Mark Newcomb are on the list of Democrats running in the primary.

Perhaps the headliner race tomorrow is the one for Wyoming’s lone representative in the United States House which sees current Congresswoman Liz Cheney in a very high-profile race against challenger Harriet Hageman.
The race has garnered massive national attention as a battle between opponents and supporters of former President Donald Trump.
Trump has endorsed Hageman and denounced Cheney for voting to impeach him and leading efforts of the January 6thcommittee in congress.
Cheney may be the longshot to win as a recent poll from the University of Wyoming showed Hageman with a significant advantage. The race has also seen many party crossovers with Democrat and Independent voters switching parties to support Cheney.
In contests at the statewide level, for Teton County’s House District 23, Democrats Liz Storer and Ryan Sedgeley are competing to see who will face Republican Paul Vogelheim in the general election.
In the race for Wyoming Secretary of State its Wyoming Senator and Cheyenne attorney Tara Nethercott facing off against Trump-endorsed Wyoming representative Chuck Gray.
