The Teton County Health Department has announced it will host two walk-in vaccine clinics at the Senior Center of Jackson Hole, specifically catering to the community’s seniors. These clinics will take place on Friday, September 27, and Friday, October 4, from 9 AM to 1 PM. No prior appointment is necessary, providing convenient access for seniors aged 60 and older.
At the clinics, eligible attendees will have the option to receive both the Covid-19 and flu vaccines simultaneously or opt for just one. The flu vaccine available this year is trivalent, designed to protect against three different flu viruses. For individuals aged 65 and over, a high-dose flu vaccine will be available, subject to supply limits. The updated 2024-2025 Covid-19 vaccine will also be offered to those who are eligible.
Participants are required to bring their insurance cards, including Medicare and any supplemental cards, to the clinic. Information regarding Teton County Health Department’s in-network health insurances can be found on their website.
Additionally, details about the regular seasonal vaccine clinic, which serves community members aged six months and older, will be released the week of September 23. With the respiratory illness season on the horizon and cooler weather conditions driving more indoor activities, the health department emphasizes the importance of obtaining annual vaccinations to mitigate the risk of Covid-19 and the flu.
