Teton County and Jackson officials announced on February 24th that all Town and County ice rinks have closed for the winter season due to warm temperatures and rain. The milder weather has ended skating activities earlier than expected in Jackson, Wyoming, marking the shift toward spring for local outdoor recreation.
Parks staff expressed gratitude to the community for a successful skating season and are now preparing for the next phase of operations. In March, a winter service level survey will launch, giving residents a chance to share feedback and ideas on winter park services. This input will help shape future management of rinks and other facilities.
As the transition to spring begins, Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation will provide updates on their website. The closure reflects the impact of seasonal weather changes on outdoor activities in the region, wrapping up another year of community ice skating.
