The Teton County/Jackson Safe Streets for All (SS4A) project team is looking for public feedback on its efforts to improve transportation safety and connectivity. After gathering community input last spring, the team has created an interactive StoryMap and Survey to collect additional insights. The survey aims to ensure the plan aligns with community needs and accurately identifies areas for improvement.
The SS4A initiative began in February 2024 and involves safety analysis, review of community comments, and development of goals to enhance transportation safety across Teton County and Jackson. The ultimate goal is a Safety Action Plan that will detail projects to make streets safer and more connected for drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, and transit users.
The interactive StoryMap and Survey are now available for public review, and feedback is encouraged. Residents can participate until Thursday, November 21, by visiting the project page on engagetetoncountywy.com and clicking on “Safe Streets for All.” Community members are urged to review the project materials and offer input on whether the plan accurately reflects local transportation challenges.
The Safety Action Plan, expected to be completed in early 2025, will include safety strategies, a refined mobility network, and proposed updates to roadway design and development standards. Public involvement will be critical in shaping this multi-year planning effort.
