The Teton County Parks & Recreation department is looking for an artist who wants to make 80000 for a piece of art that welcomes visitors and shows the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
The artwork is part of the expansion of the Teton County Rec Center which came in 14 million dollars over budget earlier this year. The redo of the center was approved by voters in the 2019 SPET tax vote for 22 million dollars and local officials recently add 14 million dollars to the project due to an increase in construction costs.
The expansion will include a splash pad and indoor climbing wall.
The deadline to submit qualifications is September 30.
