chTeton County School District (TCSD) has appointed Dr. Scott Crisp as interim superintendent for the 2025-2026 school year, effective July 1, 2025. Crisp, a TCSD employee since 1998, began as a history teacher at Jackson Hole High School, served one year as principal of Summit Innovations School, and was Jackson Hole High School principal for 14 years. Since 2023, he has been assistant superintendent of educational services. He will lead the district during a national search for a permanent superintendent, with the Board of Trustees set to issue a request for proposals for a search firm at its May 21, 2025, meeting.
Board Chairwoman Betsy Carlin praised Crisp’s selection, highlighting the district’s strong leadership and his readiness to guide TCSD through the transition. The board will host a summer retreat to define goals for the new superintendent, and the assistant superintendent role will remain vacant. Crisp emphasized his commitment to public education, focusing on the TCSD Strategic Plan to advocate for school funding, enhance communication, support innovative learning, and prioritize safety.
