Teton County Search and Rescue were called to respond to a snowmobile crash in the Granite Falls area Wednesday afternoon. According to their report, a woman had accidentally driven her snowmobile off the edge of the trail and sustained a suspected neck injury.
Given the nature of the incident, the team dispatched volunteers in the Search and Rescue helicopter, while other volunteers drove to the Granite Creek access road, towing snowmobiles and the team’s RZR as backup.
The helicopter team was able to land near the patient, package her, load her inside the ship, and fly back to Jackson where she was hospitalized. There was no word on the woman’s hometown, or her condition.
