While Governor Mark Gordon relaxed some business closures in Wyoming yesterday, the Teton County Health Department apparently wants personal care businesses to remain closed at least until May 11th.
Gyms, massage studios, barbershops and hair salons in the rest of the state were given the green light to reopen with special rules for operation. That order goes into effect May 1st, but Gordon said that individual counties could ask to be exempt from the rules if they determined that they were not strict enough, or loose enough for their local circumstances.
Dr. Alexia Harrist, state health officer and state epidemiologist with WDH said at a news conference today that the Wyoming Department of Health had been discussing an exemption from the state order with Teton County health officials all day. Dr Harrist indicated that the state will sign off on the request.
That would mean that personal care businesses would be required to remain closed in the county.
