As the holiday season approaches, Teton County residents are reminded that the Trash Transfer Station and Recycling Center will observe closures on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Here’s how you can plan your waste disposal over the festive period:
Trash Transfer Station Closure:
- Christmas Day: Closed on December 25, 2024
- New Year’s Day: Closed on January 1, 2025
The station will resume normal operations on the days before and after these holidays, opening from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on December 24th and 31st, and December 26th and January 2nd.
Recycling Center Schedule:
- Christmas Day and New Year’s Day: Both days closed.
- Christmas Eve: The office closes early at 12:00 pm on December 24th.
Remember, while the office may be closed, recycling bins remain accessible around the clock. Please help maintain cleanliness by flattening cardboard to prevent overflows. If bins are full, consider visiting another community site or waiting until the next business day.
Recycling Tips:
- Traditional wrapping paper is not recyclable. Consider using reusable or recyclable alternatives for your gifts.
Teton County encourages responsible waste management during the holiday rush. Plan ahead to avoid any last-minute disposal needs on the days the facilities are closed.
