The Wyoming Department of Transportation will be digging out ditches on Teton Pass near milepost 11 beginning today at 9:00 am with a rotary plow and other equipment, and continue their work through Thursday.
Crews will be working in the Twin Slides area, digging out and blowing snow out of the ditches alongside the road. Crews will halt work at roughly 4:00 pm to avoid evening commute hours. WYDOT foreman Bruce Daigle explains the crews need to dig out the snow to give rocks a place to land if they come down.
As the work takes place, alternating traffic and delays are expected. Traffic will be reduced to an alternating single lane during most of the work. Crews hope the work can be completed in the next two days.
