The first COVID-19 in Teton Valley, Idaho was announced by Officials from Eastern Idaho Public Health and Teton Valley Health in Driggs tonight.
They reported that a female resident of Teton Valley told health officials that she had come into close contact with a COVID-19 case in a neighboring state. She was self-quarantined since the test was performed Thursday.
No information was given regarding where in the valley the person lived, whether she commuted and worked in Jackson, or had interaction with anyone who may have been associated with the Teton Valley Schools
Eastern Idaho Public Health said they did not recommend closing the schools and said that there was still a low risk to Teton Valley residents.
