Students at Teton County School District 401 schools in Teton Valley have the day off today and tomorrow. The school board approved the admin recommendation to close schools those two days for mental health/stress management for all staff. School Superintendent Monte Woolstenhulme stresses that these are not instruction days, but a break for staff and students.
Woolstenhulme says, “Please take the time to care for yourself, as we work to recognize and support everyone with the stress of covering so much in the past few weeks, as our staff and student absences have been unusually high. Those absences are due to not only Covid but other illnesses, injuries, care for family members, bereavement, and other reasons.” Additionally, details about the Covid Test-to-Stay program were briefly discussed the board’s meeting last week, and more details will be sent out soon.
