Teton Valley is preparing a warm homecoming event for a local Olympic Silver medalist, Jaelin Kauf, who returns to Driggs Friday. Kauff recently brought home the silver medal in the women’s freestyle mogul, during the Winter Olympics in Bejing.
The Teton Valley community is planning a parade in her honor on Friday, starting at the school district office and ending at the elementary school. At 3:30 pm Kauf, along with other public leaders and educators, will make comments at the Driggs City Plaza.
Then on Sunday, during the closing weekend of Grand Targhee, Kauf will participate in a mass ski lap from the top of Dream Catcher before making an appearance on the plaza. Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon is expected to be in attendance for her reception there.
