Attention all artists with big dreams! Submit your grand scale public art idea to be featured in the 2023-2024 ArtSpot project by JH Public Art. This project invites artists to create fun and unique installations that will inspire joy and wonder in the more than 30,000 daily drivers that pass by along Broadway in the Town of Jackson. Local and regional artists can apply until June 1st to be the next featured artist, and the selected artist will receive a $3,000 stipend to create an artwork that will be installed for 6 months to one year.
ArtSpot artworks should be amazing without distracting drivers and must be able to withstand challenging weather conditions. Winning ArtSpot ideas should be whimsical, positive, and memorable for all audiences. Applications are due by June 15th, 2023, and the artist will be announced in July 2023. The artwork will be fabricated from August-September and installed in September/October 2023. Visit the JH Public Art website for more information on how to submit your ideas.
