TOJ Working On Snow King Estates Water Line

August 10, 2018 by Jackson Hole Radio

As work continues on the Snow King Estates main water line improvement project, the Town of Jackson would like to remind hikers and mountain bikers that the Tanager Trail, located off of Snow King Drive, will be impacted and access will be extremely limited throughout the project.

This project is slated to continue through the end of October.   Please consider alternative routes to access the Hagen Trail and Sink or Swim Trails such as Cache Creek Trail, Snow King Trail, and Jack’s Trail (off Upper Cache Creek Drive).  A map of the impacted area can be found on the Town of Jackson’s website that can be accessed by clicking here.

The road accessing the Tanager Trail, Snow King Drive, is scheduled to be closed for construction Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm for the duration of this project. Snow King Drive will be open for use on weekends and on weekdays before 8:00am and after 6:00pm.

The Public Works Department has scheduled several “Open Access Days” where Snow King Drive will remain open regardless of weather or construction progress.  These open access days include Monday, August 13; Friday, August 31; Monday, September 3 (Labor Day); and Monday, September 17. Additional open access days have not been scheduled, and are dependent on weather and construction progress.

Please respect all construction notifications, detour signage and closures as they are there for your safety and for the safety of the construction workers.

For information about this project or the potential impact please contact Brian Lenz, Town of Jackson Engineer, at 307 739-4547 or at btlenz@jacksonwy.gov.  The Town of Jackson would like to express our appreciation for your understanding and apologizes in advance for any inconvenience that this project may cause.
