Following a month of relocating and setting up new displays, the Jackson Hole Children’s Museum is reopening Sunday in conjunction with their annual “Touch-a-Truck” activity. In the face of eviction from the museum’s location of seven years, the Jackson Hole Children’s Museum was able to lease two of the modular buildings on the Jackson Elementary School campus. The former elementary classrooms became available after the opening of Munger Mountain Elementary School last fall. Sunday’s Touch-A-Truck is a family-friendly event where vehicles — construction, emergency, law enforcement, food service, recreation and more — line the street, open for kids of all ages to explore in a safe, supervised environment. This event offers a unique opportunity to touch the levers, switches and gears that make kids’ favorite rigs whir, as well as meet the vehicle operators who build, serve and protect our community every day. Admission to Touch-A-Truck is free, with a suggested donation of $5/person or $20/family.
