For those who have left their Christmas Tree up through the traditional 12th night Monday, there is still the opportunity to recycle that tree when it is taken down. Teton County Solid Waste and Recycling will continue to accept the discarded trees through January 31st either at the Teton County Fairgrounds or at the Trash Transfer Station. Trees must be completely void of lights and decorations. Due to a preservative that is sprayed onto commercially-grown trees, they are not composted; but are instead used as a fuel source for a cogeneration facility.
