Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has reported the death of a visiting male skier at the Resort Thursday. The skier collided with a tree on the Gros Ventre run in the morning. Resuscitation efforts were administered on the scene, by Resort Ski Patrol and continued at the St. John’s Clinic in Teton Village.
The name of the deceased was not immediately released pending notification of family. Resort President Mary Kate Buckley expressed deep condolences to the family of the deceased.
About the same time, a local volunteer mountain ski host suffered an apparent cardiac arrest and died as a result. No further information or identification were available about that death.
