Teton County Search and Rescue volunteers responded to two separate incidents on Fuzzy Bunny, an aggressive downhill mountain bike trail on Teton Pass over the weekend. The team was alerted to a mountain biker who’d crashed on the trail and sustained potentially serious injuries around 2:00 pm Saturday.
According to the organization’s Facebook page, the patient was eventually able to walk to the trailhead, and responding volunteers did an initial assessment there before passing them off to advanced medical care.
Then, on Sunday afternoon, the team responded to another mountain biker who’d been injured on the same trail. Volunteers responded with the RZR side-by-side and others on foot for backup.
The patient was assessed and packaged on scene, and then transported to higher medical care. There was no word on the extent of his injuries.
