The Grand Loop Road, between Old Faithful and West Thumb Junction in Yellowstone National Park reopened to traffic yesterday, but park officials caution that fire behavior on the Lone Star Fire could force its closure again at any time. Meanwhile the fire’s expansion has been to the northeast – away from the Old Faithful area, and its last measurement, remained estimated 820 acres.
